Blogging about recent sessions is easy. You talk about the day, the details, all the lovey dovey mushy gushy stuff, etc.
Do your clients read through those blogs?
Likely, they don't want to read about someone else's wedding. They will look at the pictures, but they probably aren't too interested in someone else's love story.
What will they read?
Well, something that will help them!
It's as easy as that.
Ask yourself, what knowledge do you have that your client doesn't? Remember that most people likely haven't ever had a photography session, and thus don't know what to expect.
Part of building a clientele base is ensuring that your clients are comfortable. Trust is the #1 factor in getting a word-of-mouth referral. Make sure you are there for them, not just there to make money.
To find a blog topic about something other than your session, think about what your most frequently asked questions are. They're probably something like this:
Why do you shoot at golden hour?
What should I wear to my session?
Why are you so expensive?
The list can go on and on. All of your FAQs are GREAT blog topic posts that your clients will actually WANT to read!
If you're drawing a blank, go to photography forums and see what they're asking! Scout through Facebook photography pages and see what their clients are asking.
Here are a few examples of some recent blog posts I've written for clients:

Hopefully this helps you create blogs your clients will WANT to read!
